Janeth’s path into medicine has always been rooted in one simple belief: people deserve to be truly cared for — not just treated.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Loyola University and a Master’s in Education from Aurora University. For over a decade, she served as a dual-language (English/Spanish) elementary teacher, where she developed a deep appreciation for meeting people exactly where they are and helping them grow with patience and compassion. Her ability to communicate fluently in Spanish allows her to extend thoughtful, culturally sensitive care to a broader community, and she is passionate about making treatment accessible to everyone.
Janeth’s journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine began personally. After struggling with infertility, she experienced firsthand the transformative impact of acupuncture and herbal medicine. Within months of beginning treatment, she became pregnant — and that experience profoundly shaped her calling. She and her husband now have three beautiful children, and that chapter ignited her commitment to helping others navigate complex health journeys with hope and support.
She went on to earn a combined Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, becoming a licensed acupuncturist and board-certified herbalist.
Janeth approaches healthcare differently. She believes in treating the whole person with the goal of improving overall quality of life, not simply managing symptoms. While she recognizes that Western medicine is exceptional in acute care and life-saving interventions, she is deeply aware that many patients feel unheard or reduced to prescriptions when they are simply trying to feel better in their daily lives. Her work is centered on restoring balance, supporting the body’s natural healing processes, and empowering patients to actively participate in their health.
A particularly meaningful part of her practice is supporting cancer patients. After walking closely alongside her mother through cancer treatment and helping manage difficult side effects, Janeth developed both a personal understanding and clinical passion for easing the physical and emotional burdens that accompany cancer care. She is honored to help patients feel stronger, more comfortable, and more supported during and after treatment.
Her passion for healing extends beyond the clinic walls. Janeth personally trained her dog, Winston, as a therapy dog — an experience that reflects her deep belief in the restorative power of comfort, presence, and human connection. Whether through acupuncture, herbal medicine, education, or simply offering a calming presence, helping people feel supported and cared for is truly at the heart of who she is.
Janeth has extensive experience treating hormonal and menstrual irregularities, digestive disorders, allergies, insomnia, fertility challenges, stress, chronic pain, and cancer-related symptoms. Her warm, attentive presence creates a healing environment where patients feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.
When she’s not in the clinic, Janeth loves spending time with her family, traveling, and filling her yard with native plants. She is continually studying and refining her acupuncture and herbal techniques to better serve her patients — because for her, caring is not just a profession, it is a lifelong commitment.
